Primal Equipment Rentals is a Charlotte trailer rental company for contractors, landscapers, and homeowners who need equipment that shows up ready to work. Every trailer is cleaned, inspected before each rental, and maintained on a set schedule, so you can hook up, load up, and get the job done.

Rather not haul it yourself? We also offer dump and haul. We drop the dump trailer at your site, you fill it, and we pick it up and take the debris away.

How it works

Book online in a few minutes. Pick up in Charlotte or have it delivered for a fee.

1. Book online

Pick your trailer and dates, sign the rental agreement, and pay online. A $500 refundable security deposit is held on your card at pickup. 

2. Pick up or get it delivered

Pick up at 9218 South Blvd, Suite B, Charlotte, Monday through Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM. Bring your driver's license and proof of insurance. The deckover needs a pintle hitch and the dump trailer needs a 2 5/16" ball, plus a 7-pin plug and a brake controller. Don't want to tow it? We deliver for a fee.

3. Bring it back

Return it on time, empty and swept out. We inspect it and release your deposit hold, usually the same day.

FAQ

  • You need to be 21 or older with a valid driver's license and active auto insurance on your tow vehicle. Bring both to pickup.

    Your tow vehicle needs to be rated for the trailer and the load, with working 7-pin wiring and a brake controller. The deckover requires a pintle hitch. The dump trailer uses a 2 5/16" ball.

  • A $500 refundable security deposit is placed as a hold on your card at pickup. It is not a charge. Once the trailer is returned and inspected, we release the hold, usually the same day. Your bank may take a few business days to show the released funds.

    Damage, missing equipment, extra cleaning, or late fees may be charged against the deposit as outlined in the rental agreement.

  • Yes. We can drop off and pick up the trailer for a fee based on distance. Call (704) 885-3075 for a quote.

    We also offer dump and haul. We drop the dump trailer at your site, you load it, and we pick it up and haul the debris away.

  • No hazardous materials, fuels, chemicals, asbestos, or anything illegal, and never load past the trailer's rated capacity. Gravel roads, driveways, and firm job sites are fine at low speed, but no off-road use. Trailers stay in North Carolina and South Carolina unless we approve otherwise in writing.

  • Cancel 24 hours or more before pickup for a full refund. Cancellations within 24 hours of pickup, and no shows, are charged one day's rental ($150 per trailer). The rest of your payment is refunded.

  • Usually, yes. Call us before your return time and we'll extend it if the trailer isn't booked. Late returns without an extension are charged $150 per trailer for each day or partial day late, and trailers returned dirty or with debris left inside are charged a $100 cleaning fee.

  • Yes. Ratchet straps and tarps are available with any rental. Let us know when you book or call (704) 885-3075 and we'll have them ready at pickup.
